Interactive AI story
An interactive story that answers back
Most story games give you three buttons. Epitale gives you a narrator who listens. Type what your character says or does, in your own words, and the story reacts: allies remember, enemies adapt, plans go wrong in ways nobody scripted.

Not a choice menu: a conversation
Classic interactive fiction branches between choices someone wrote in advance. Epitale's narrator writes the story with you, turn by turn. You can whisper a secret to a character, refuse a quest, flirt, lie, run, or try something the story never expected. The narrator keeps the world consistent: who knows what, who is where, what was promised.
Each chapter runs about ten turns, long enough for a real scene to build and short enough to finish on a commute. Then the chapter is over, and it becomes an episode.
Then you watch what you played
This is what sets Epitale apart from text-only story apps. When the chapter ends, a director plans it into a short vertical episode: illustrated panels with camera moves, a narrator who keeps the plot clear, a cast of distinct voices chosen to fit each character, sound effects and music.
The first act is free to watch. The ending unlocks with tokens you earn by playing every day.
Steer it when it drifts
- Reroll any reply you don't love and get a fresh take on the same moment.
- Rewind to an earlier turn and play it differently.
- Continue into the next chapter, with a voiced "Previously on…" recap.

Questions
How is this different from a chatbot?
A chatbot answers. Epitale runs a story: it tracks the cast, the world and the plot across turns, steers toward a satisfying chapter, and turns the result into an illustrated, voiced episode.
Do I need to be a writer?
No. One sentence is enough to start, and you play by typing what your character says or does. Suggestions are always there if you are stuck.
Can I continue my story?
Yes. Every story continues chapter by chapter, and each new chapter opens with a recap of what happened.
