Content Rules

Epitale is for adults and allows mature fiction: dark themes, violence, swearing, romance and drama. A few things are never allowed.

Never allowed

• Any sexual or romantic-sexual content involving minors, or anyone who looks or is described as childlike, whatever age is claimed. Attempts lead to an immediate, permanent ban and may be reported to the authorities.
• Explicit sexual content. Romance and tension are fine; intimate scenes fade to black.
• Sexual or degrading content about real, identifiable people, and images that imitate real people.
• Instructions for real-world violence, weapons, drugs or other illegal activity.
• Encouraging self-harm or suicide.
• Hate or harassment aimed at real people or groups.

How we enforce them

Messages are checked automatically before the story continues. A blocked message counts as a strike; three strikes suspend the account. Generated images pass a safety filter. Anyone can report an episode from the player; reports are reviewed by people.
